Notes - Maud De Mandeville was the daughter and heiress by his first wife, Beatrice de Saye (Sister of Geoffrey de Saye, a Magna Charta Baron) of Geoffrey Fitz-Piers de Mandeville. Geoffrey was crested in 1199 Earl of Essex and Justiciary of England. She died in 1212. Maud was eventually heiress of her brother, William De Mandeville, last Earl of Essex, of that family, by whom Henry De Bohun acquired the Honor of Essex and many extensive lordships.
